Thursday Coffee Group

The Coffee Group meets every Thursday, 10 – 12noon.

The group is open to anyone over 55, and is a lively group that are very active members of the community centre.  They have lots to say on a majority of subjects and they love to LAUGH.  They do of course, drink coffee.

What they have to say about themselves:  From our funds, we often have trips out to local places of interest or theatre trips, or sometimes we go out for lunch.   In the past we’ve had demonstrations such as spinning, card making, book binding, jewellery and dolls house making and lots of others interesting crafts.  We’ve also had thought provoking  speakers on a huge range of topics.  Sometimes, we just drink coffee and have a general chat.  Barton Road is the heart of our community.

We have a quarterly time table of interesting activities – we try to cater for everyone’s interests.

So, come along on a Thursday morning.  You’ll be made very welcome.
